These communities are known for their pristine beaches, nature trails, excellent boating, and fresh- and salt-water fishing, NASCAR and the Daytona 500. Every two years, the London Symphony Orchestra calls Daytona Beach home during the winter and spring, and provides many cultural opportunities. Additionally, the Daytona Beach area is home to several institutions of higher learning, including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona State College and Bethune-Cookman University.
