About the Community:

Central Texas Medical Center and Live Oak Health Partners are located between San Antonio and Austin in one of the nation’s fastest growing areas. San Marcos has been named the fastest growing community of more than 50,000 for several consecutive years. Because of its natural beauty, small-town feel and easy access to large metropolitan areas, many have experienced first-hand that this community is a great place to settle down in.

A stable economy combined with strong support for new businesses and enormous demand for this location ensures the area’s continued economic growth. San Marcos, population over 80,000, sits on the edge of the scenic Texas Hill Country. With the numerous rivers, lakes, natural green belt areas, and great year-round weather in this part of Texas, opportunities for outdoor activities are plentiful.

Our families have access to a number of academically-recognized elementary and secondary public as well as private schools in San Marcos and the surrounding communities. Texas State University, a Division I research-designated university, is a central part of the cultural and educational growth of our region.
