About the Facility:

Porter Adventist Hospital joined Adventist Health System in October of 2001, forming the Rocky Mountain region along with three other Colorado hospitals, Littleton Adventist Hospital, Parker Adventist Hospital and Avista Adventist Hospital.

Located on a beautifully landscaped campus in a quiet residential neighborhood in south Denver, Porter Adventist Hospital is a 369-bed general, acute-care, nonprofit hospital that provides health care according to the principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It serves approximately 540,000 people living and working in south metro Denver, an upscale suburban area experiencing growth in all age categories.

Porter Adventist Hospital is especially known for award-winning service in their Cardiovascular Services, State-of-the-art Porter Cancer Care Center, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.

About the Community:

Porter Adventist Hospital is located in the University of Denver/Harvard Park area of South Denver. Convenient to both a cosmopolitan downtown and popular residential suburban areas, residents of the quiet neighborhood can easily access the great outdoor and cultural activities that make Denver one of the best places in the country to live and work.

Metro Denver offers a panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains, the nation’s largest public park system and an ideal climate for year-round activities. As a result of these and other amenities, the metro area consistently tops the lists of most livable cities.

As an energetic metropolitan area filled with recreational opportunities and an active lifestyle, it’s no wonder that Metro Denver’s residents are among the nation’s healthiest—in both mind and body. Area residents dabble in everything from skiing to hiking, mountain biking to river rafting, making the area one of the fittest cities in the country.

When they’re not enjoying the region’s great outdoors, citizens take advantage of championship sports teams and cultural attractions, such as events at The Denver Performing Arts Complex—the largest such facility under one roof outside.
