About the Community:

Hanford is one of California's hidden treasures, with rich history and a professional attitude toward growth. Located in the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley, Hanford lies between the Sierra Nevada and the Coastal mountain ranges in Kings County, and is equidistant from the greater Los Angeles area to the south, and the San Francisco-Sacramento area to the north.

Anticipating vigorous growth in the future, the Central Valley Network has ongoing opportunities for physicians seeking both professional fulfillment and a progressive economic environment. To achieve this, Adventist Health provides financial assistance options and a variety of revenue streams from which to choose. Competitive wage and benefit packages are offered. The service area encompasses 450,000 residents within 3,600 square miles, the center of which is Hanford, population 62,000. Quaint communities such as Kingsburg, Selma, Lemoore, Reedley, Corcoran, Coalinga and Sanger are among those that make up the service area. The network offers many resources to physicians with four medical centers, 32 Community Care clinics in 22 communities and three JobCare Clinics.

Kings County welcomed a milestone in health care with the opening of Adventist Health Hanford in December 2010. This state-of-the-art accredited medical center features 120 private medical-surgical beds, six 600-square-foot operating rooms, a cardiac cath lab, 26 emergency treatment rooms, complete radiographic imaging, an automated laboratory, 22 intensive care beds, a helipad and computerized medical records. Each warmly decorated patient room is equipped with a private bath and a 42" flat screen television with Internet access, affording patients privacy and comfort during their stay. Surgeons have modern equipment, accommodating anesthesia and blocked time with back-to-back operating rooms.

Next to the medical center is the Family Birth Center. This center features private rooms and a design focused on the patient's experience. It offers 30 beds for mothers, two operating rooms and a six-bed neonatal intensive care beds that will be served by Children's Hospital Central California.
